Rachel did an amazing job with our family pictures! She was professional and prepared, and had scouted out the location before we arrived. She made my kids feel relaxed and did a great job capturing their true smiles and personalities. We are planning on hiring her again next year!
Heyyy, it's me, Rachel. I'm your Loveland family portrait photographer, and I'm so excited to explore Northern Colorado with your family!
My favorite summer activity is hiking with my dog Hunter. Neither of us can handle more than 5 or 6 miles. LOL.
In the winter, I enjoy curling up a binging Netflix shows. I also started skiing (mainly greens and, if I'm feeling brave, the occasional blue).
I absolutely love exploring with families during their family session! Let's find a beautiful trail, a clear lake, a running river, or some freshly fallen snow. Perfection.
Let's get to know each other and start planning your session :)
Rachel was very personable and has a great personality. She was familiar with location selected and very creative with poses. She captured our family beautifully. I would highly recommend Rachel and my family will utilize her services again! Thank you Rachel for making the afternoon a positive experience and we loved our pictures!

• Avoid large or busy patterns. This can cause the attention to be all on one person OR it can be distracting from your beautiful family! Try to stick to small patterns or solid colors.
• Say yes to texture. A little lace, a flowy dress, or even a fuzzy scarf can add a pop of fun to your photos without being overpowering.
•Colors - everyone has a different take on color. I LOVE color; it adds a richness and depth to your photos, but not every color is created equally. I always suggest either neutrals (tan, black, white, light pink or blue) or rich, gem colors (teal, navy blue, burgundy, forest green, or maroon). Avoid bright and neon colors because they can be very overpowering in your photos.
• Dress for the weather. Colorado’s weather is unpredictable! In the summer, shorts and dresses are comfortable, but consider bringing a light jacket for when the sun starts to set and the temperature drops. In the winter, bundle up! Bring lots of layers for you and the kids. We can always strip down, but I want to make sure you are all warm and comfy.
• Coordinate, but don’t match perfectly. Try to compliment everyone’s outfits with the colors and style, but don’t go all matchy-matchy on me :) I suggest picking a color palette to keep things coordinating.
• Try to have your toddler nap before our session.
• Bring candy/snacks/their favorite toy to help encourage good behavior.
• Let me know when they need a break! During our session, they can explore and play. We won’t be cheesin’ for the whole hour.
• Have a family ice cream date after your session! It gives your kids something to look forward to, and it’s a great bonding experience!
