Colorado Mountain Proposal

Despite Christmas traffic and single digit temperatures, Brock’s Colorado mountain proposal went off without a hitch.

A few months before Brock was planning to propose, he reached out with me with this vision to propose on a snowy bridge in downtown Breckenridge. The Blue River Plaza area to be exact. Now, Brock was a man with a vision, but his problem was he was living in Kansas and would not be in Colorado, much less Breckenridge, until December 23rd, the day of the proposal!

Now, that was where I came in! Brock had the vision, and I had the means to help bring the vision to life. Several weeks before Brock and Madison were getting into town, me and my husband went to the exact bridges that Brock had sent me pictures of. I scouted and took videos to help Brock visualize where he would propose.

We had a plan, now it was time to bring the Colorado mountain proposal to life…

December 23rd was here. And it was FREEZING! It was snowing and the traffic was moving slow. Thank goodness for technology, which help Brock and I track each other’s location through Google Maps. I made it to town. Now I just had to bundle up and wait behind a tree for Brock and Madison to walk across the Blue River Plaza Bridge…

There they were. He got down on one knee. SHE SAID YES! I clicked my shutter as fast as my frozen fingers would let me. I was transfixed. The moment he got on one knee everything around me slowed down. It was magical and precious. They were the only two around.

As Brock and Madison walked toward me, they were giddy and full of smiles. THEY WERE ENGAGED!

I introduced myself to Madison and asked if she was surprised. She said, “Yes and no.” She went on to explain saying that of course it was a surprised, she didn’t know how or exactly when he was going to do it, but at the same time she knew something was up. She noticed he didn’t sleep well the night before and was a little anxious. ⁠

Yes, she might had suspected something, but Brock pulled off the sweetest, most romantic Colorado mountain proposal. Madison had been coming to Breckenridge her whole life, so Brock pick this location because it was special to her. He hired a photographer (I mean, that is going above and beyond for his girl!). And now they had all the time to celebrate their engagement!
