Loveland Newborn Session

Kori and Nolan invited me into their home only 10 days after Naomi Grace was born for an in-home Loveland Newborn Session. Despite working through the challenges of being new parents, Kori and Nolan were kind and joyful when I saw them! Naomi was a sweet little angel the whole time.

Naomi Grace was born on April 28, a beautiful baby with hair that makes me jealous! When I arrived, the first order of business was to wash her hair. Now, I don’t think I had hair to wash until I was 3 years old, so I was intrigued by this adventure. It took both Kori and Nolan, and Naomi was not very happy to have water on her head. In the end, her hair was freshly styled so she looked her best for her first photo session!

Next, it was time to wrap her in a warm blanket and feed her so she would fall right asleep. This was more of Naomi’s jam! It was success and she was sleepy for the rest of the newborn session.

Finally, we warmed up the heating pad and wrapped her in her adorable blankets an donned the girly bows. This was the fun part. Kori was prepared with a basket and a fur blanket that were the perfect props for these pictures. I highly recommend just using what you have for your newborn session. A cute blanket, basket, or even your couch are prefect for your newborn’s sleepy session.

Since Naomi is their first kid, I also wanted to make sure to take pictures of all three of them because this new relationship is so precious.

This session was slow and sweet because none of us were in a rush. My favorite thing to witness was Kori and Nolan because they were so happy to just BE with their little girl. As new parents, they are transitioning into a new rhythm of life. During our time together during our Loveland newborn session, they were so happy to enjoy the little moments.

Sweet girl, you having amazing parents. They love you with all their hearts, and it is so evident. I know you, Naomi, will capture their hearts forever.
