Northern Colorado Family Photos

The Call family had a limited time frame for their Northern Colorado family photos because momma was nine months pregnant! These photos almost did not happen because of sickness and scheduling, but thankfully we were able to take these just days before the Call’s welcomed their second son into the world.

Oxbow Natural Area near Marianna Butte Golf Course was the perfect backdrop for these family photos. It had trees, mountains, fences, and most importantly, a fun river to watch during the family session. Half way through, we took a break to throw rocks in the rushing river, and it was such a sweet moment to witness.

I love when families enjoy themselves and allow time for breaks during a session because it helps everyone reset and refocus. Smiling and posing can get tiring, so the Call family took a break to just enjoy each other’s company! Not every moment needs to be focused solely on photos because I love capturing the candid interactions between family members.

Boys are super fun during family sessions because they are so energetic! Running and jumping and even letting dad throw him in the air.

In the last few days of being a family of three, the Call  family was soaking up every moment. The Call family was such a joy to photograph, and I was blessed to spend some time with the three of them before they became a family of four. Family photos are such a great way to capture these little moments!
