Working with Rachel was absolutely wonderful! We loved all of the photos so much! Rachel was so quick to respond to us and was so helpful in determining a location. We had a bit of a wild vision for our shoot and she made it come to life! I usually hate myself in photos, but she was able to capture such joy and happiness. I will treasure our engagement photos forever!
Heyyy, it's me, Rachel. I'm a Colorado native, AND I love exploring this amazing state.
My favorite summer activity is hiking with my dog Hunter. Neither of us can handle more than 5 or 6 miles. LOL.
In the winter, I enjoy curling up a binging Netflix shows. I also started skiing (mainly greens and, if I'm feeling brave, the occasional blue).
I absolutely love exploring with couples during their Colorado engagement photos! Let's find a beautiful trail, a clear lake, a running river, or some freshly fallen snow. Perfection.
Let's get to know each other and start planning your session :)
Rachel made us feel comfortable so quickly while taking pictures. This made everything so natural! She was so flexible in making sure we got the poses that we wanted while also implementing her own creative touch to our engagement photo session.

• Avoid large or busy patterns. This can take away from you and the beautiful landscape. Try to find solid colors or smaller patterns.
• Say yes to texture. A little lace, a flowy dress, or even a fuzzy scarf can add a pop of fun to your photos without being overpowering.
• Colors - everyone has a different take on color. I LOVE color; it adds a richness and depth to your photos, but not every color is created equally. I always suggest either neutrals (tan, black, white, light pink or blue) or rich, gem colors (teal, navy blue, burgundy, or maroon). Avoid bright and neon colors because they can be very overpowering in your photos.
• Dress for the weather. Colorado’s weather is unpredictable! In the summer, you can wear your cute, flowy dress, but bring a sweater for the evening as the temperature drops. In the winter, bundle up! Bring lots of layers. We can always strip down, but I want to make sure you are warm and comfy. (PS... your winter coats look adorable in the snowy photos).
• Coordinate, but don’t match perfectly. Try to compliment each other’s outfits with the colors and style, but don’t go all matchy-matchy on me :)
