The Lyons Farmette | Proposal | Nate + Liana

He was a high school chemistry teacher in Colorado. She was a handbag designer in New York. Their paths crossed at a friend’s wedding at the Lyons Farmette. He thought she was cute (*ahem* more than cute;) ). She knew she had a plane to catch the next morning.

Their friends nudged them towards each other… And Nate offered to take Liana to the airport the next morning after the wedding.

On their way to DIA, they stopped for breakfast and a coffee. It was casual, and there was flirting, but she was on her way back to New York, so it wasn’t going to go anywhere.

Well…

Liana’s flight was delayed. So, they decided to spend some more time together and get ice cream. Again, it was casual, and there was flirting, but it wasn’t going to go anywhere.

Well…

Liana’s flight was delayed again. So, they went and tootled around Peart Street Mall. It was casual, there was more flirting, but she was still leaving soon.

Well…

Liana’s flight got delayed AGAIN! So, they continued their adventure at a brewery. They were enjoying each other’s company and having fun together.

Now, you aren’t going to believe me, but…

Liana’s flight got CANCELLED. Nope, I’m not messing with you. At this point, it was 8 pm, and there was no chance that she was flying to New York that night. So, they went back to his place, and what was supposed to be a quick breakfast together, turned into the most EPIC 24 HOUR date!

After their amazing day together, they kept in touch and started dating. In June of last year, Liana moved to Colorado to be with Nate.

And now, to my favorite part of the story, the proposal…

Nate, such a sweetheart, wanted to recreate their first day together. He hit all of the highlights – lunch, ice cream, and a drink.

He even wore the exact pineapple shirt that he wore the first day they were together. Nate had every detail planned.

Finally, they ended at the Lyons Farmette where he got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife. Liana was SHOCKED. Nate completely surprised her, and it was amazing!

We spent some time wandering around the Lyons Farmette venue, and Nate and Liana could not stop giggling. It was so dang cute and so much fun to capture.

Their love story came full circle, and it was truly beautiful. I know they will be giggling their whole life.
