What makes you different from other Northern Colorado wedding photographers?

I get it, there are sooo many Northern Colorado wedding photographers. This might be your 10th or even 100th website. You have looked through so many wedding portfolios and you are hoping to find the perfect person to capture your big day.

Let me tell you friend, your wedding photographer will probably be with you more than your husband on your wedding day... Don’t let that scare you. Instead, let it help you find the person who will capture the beautiful images you are looking for AND for someone who will serve you, show up for you, and encourage you guys as you start your marriage.

My heart is to be a resource for you throughout the process. I’m not just going to show up on your wedding day like a stranger. Nope.

I will walk you through my process leading up to your wedding day with video calls, an engagement session, and planning sessions so you feel comfortable with me. I will buy you coffee, make you laugh, and calm your nerves as you get in front of the camera. No more awkward photographer standing in the background. As your Northern Colorado wedding photographer, I want to SHOW up for you and freaking celebrate the start of an amazing marriage.

Why do you offer complimentary engagement sessions with all your wedding packages?

There is a lot going on during your wedding day, and I don’t want your first time getting in front of the camera to be then... I want a separate time where you get to know me. A time where you learn how I will direct you. Where you move from standing and smiling at the camera to actually enjoying the moment with each other.

And honestly, an engagement session is a breath of fresh air amidst the wedding planning. It’s a time to enjoy each other’s company and remember WHY you are getting married. It’s a built in date night during your engagement. You’re welcome ;)

Will you help me create a wedding day timeline?

Yup. I can give you suggestions on how long things will take and where you should add a little bit of buffer time!

Should I do a first look? 

Honestly, that is up to you. I personally did not do a first look when I got married because I’m traditional at heart and wanted my new hubby to see me the first time as I walked down the aisle.

If you feel the same as I did when I was a bride, then nix the first look. Your timeline will look a little different, but we will still have PLENTY OF TIME for couples photos after the ceremony.

If you are leaning towards a first look, that’s great too! With a first look, you get more time with your love on the best day of your life. You also get more time for photos together. And if you are super nervous, seeing each other before the ceremony might help calm your nerves!

How many hours do you suggest we book?

Every wedding day is different, but on average, 8 hours is the perfect amount of time. This allows enough time for EVERYTHING to get covered without rushing and stressing. I have other packages if you want more or less time depending on your big day.

How far out do you book Weddings?

I book weddings 6-12 months in advance. If you like what you see but aren’t getting married for a while, still fill out the contact form so I can keep your wedding date on my radar. We can officially book once you hit the 12 month mark.

How many photos will I receive? 

You will receive 50+ photos per hour you book me. I don’t put a max on the number of photos I send over because I want you to get ALLL the good ones :)

When will I get my photos back?

You will get a sneak peek within a week of your wedding date, and you will receive your full gallery within 6-8 weeks! 

My venue requires all vendors to have insurance. Do you have insurance? 

Yes I do! Let me know if your venue requires a copy, and I can take care of that for you!

How do I reserve my wedding date?

To reserve your wedding date, you will need to sign a contract and pay a $500 non-refundable retainer. 

Where should I print my photos from? Should I create an album?

First off, kudos to you for printing your photos! Your wedding photos are something to treasure forever, and it’s so special when they are printed out. I highly suggest spending a little extra to order your prints or albums from professional printing companies. The quality is SOOO much better. I offer professional printing through the online gallery I send you, but you are welcome to print them anywhere because you receive a print release with your wedding.

AND, yes, order the album. It will be something you will treasure for years and years to come. I guarantee you will show it to your children and grandchildren. I offer albums through your gallery that you can customize with your favorite photos!
